i. Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi (Imam Bari)
Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Imam Bari Kazmi was born in 1617 AD and 1026 Hijri in Chakwal district Choli Karsal. His father's name was Syed Sakhi Mahmood Badshah Kazmi and his mother's name was Syeda Ghulam Fatima Kazmi . His father was also a great saint of Allah. Hazrat Imam Bari received his early education from his father. His father received his education in jurisprudence and Hadith and other Islamic sciences from Najaf Ashraf, Iraq. Syed Mahmood Badshah who graduated from Najaf Ashraf, did not spare any effort in his son's education. Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi is known mostly by the title of Imam Bari (the Imam of land).
Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi Qadri visited many places for preaching Islam including Kashmir, Badakhshan, Bukhara, Mashhad, Baghdad and Damascus. He went to Makkah and Madina for performing Hajj and returned at the age of 25 years.
During his stay in Noorpur Shahan, Hazrat Syed Abdul Latif Kazmi Qadri lit the candle of Islam in the hearts of countless Hindus through Islamic teachings. Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif died in Noorpur Shahan, Islamabad in 1117 Hijri according to 1706 AD.
ii. Hazrat Maulana Abdur Rahman Jami
His name was Abdur Rahman and title was Jami. His father's name was Maulana Nizam ud din . He was born in Kohraat (Afghanistan) on 23rd of Shabaan 817 Hijri according to 1414 AD.
Maulana Abdur Rahman Jami took oath on the hand of Khawaja Ubaidullah Ahrar. He was a very polite natured person. He had a great love for Allah. Maulana Jami (lbs) also had great love and attachment with the Holy Prophet . He has also written Naats' in the love of Prophet Muhammad (s). The translation of his well-known Naat in Persian is:
Translation:
O spring wind, when you pass through the place of Batkha
Narrate my conditions in the service of Prophet Muhammad
He was a man of modesty and humility in the true sense. Qualities like self- sacrifice and sincerity were prominent in his words and actions. He strictly abide by Sharia law and preached it to his followers as well. Maulana Jami always supported the oppressed and helped anyone secretly if he found them in need. Al-Nahav is listed among the sciences that are necessary for the understanding of the Holy Quran. Maulana Jami is recognized as the Imam of Al-Nahav. "Sharh Mulla Jami" is a famous work of Maulana Jami in the field of Al-Nahav.
Maulana Jami built mosques, madrassas and monasteries in different cities and devoted properties to run the systems of these institutes smoothly. He hated flattering the authoritative people specially the kings rather he always used to write letters to them to stick to virtues. In one of his letters to the King of that time, he writes that: O King! This throne, which you love so much, is not sustainable. This life is going to perish. Neither this age nor this earth will last, do righteous deeds in this world as much as you can because it will help you in the hereafter. Maulana Jami spent 81 years in this mortal world and died on 18 Muharram 898 Hijri, according to 14th of November 1942 on Friday. His mausoleum is in 'Harat' Afghanistan.
iii. Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalander
Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalander whose real name was Syed Usman Marwandi, is a Sufi saint buried in Sindh. His mausoleum is in Sehwan Sharif. Laal Shahbaz Qalander was born in 538 AD corresponding to 1143 AD in Marwand or Maywand (currently Azerbaijan or Afghanistan). The genealogy of Laal Shahbaz Qalander reaches Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq.
His father's name was Ibrahim Kabiruddin and mother's name was Majida Kabiruddin. His parents were known for their asceticism and piety and were related to teaching. His ancestors migrated from Iraq and settled in Afghanistan via Iran. He also travelled around the Muslim world and liked Sehwan Sharif (Sindh), settled here and was buried here.
Sheikh Marwandi had a high lineage in terms of family. Therefore, many of the characteristics of piety and generosity were transferred to his family. It is said that his mother used to cry at nights. She used to say that: "Those who cry in fear of Allah, will never be burnt in hell." She used to fear Allah a lot and spent a great part of her night in worshipping Allah.
Hazrat Usman Bin Kabeer commonly known as Laal Shahbaz Qalander had memorized the Quran at the age of seven. After memorizing the Holy Quran, he also gained full access to Arabic and Persian.
He achieved the initial milestones of his childhood in the supervision of his respected father. His father had a great rank in Mashaikh-e-Tabriz. His brought up and education was done under his father's supervision. Owing to the knowledge and grace of his father, Syed Usman Marwandi had the company of the people of Allah since his childhood. He reached the service of Hazrat Bu Ali Qalander while traveling. He stayed in Sindh on his instructions.
Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalander showed right path to the people. He refined the morals of the people, instilled goodness and kindness in the hearts of people and taught them to live with each other in affection and love. Thousands of people got guidance from his hands and many lost people connected with Allah. Hazrat Laal Shahbaz Qalandar preached Islam in Sindh for a long time. He died on 21st of Shabaan 673 Hijri. His mausoleum is in Sehwan Sharif (Sindh).
